Terms of Service
Last updated: March 6, 2024
1. Who We Are & How These Terms Apply
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to the Auto Battle Game marketing site, Devvit-powered Reddit application, related game services, support channels, and any other experiences we publish (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any supplemental guidelines we provide. If you are using the Services for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Services under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
2. Relationship to Reddit Terms & Policies
Our Devvit integrations are reviewed and governed by Reddit’s Developer Terms, Developer Data Protection Addendum, Data API Terms, Privacy Policy, Public Content Policy, User Agreement, Reddit Rules, Advertising Policy, Econ Terms, Previews Terms, and all other policies or documentation Reddit publishes (collectively, the “Reddit Terms & Policies”). Those requirements are incorporated here by reference. When a Reddit policy is more protective or restrictive than these Terms, the Reddit Terms & Policies control your use of the Services.
Reddit may change its policies at any time. It is your responsibility to review them regularly and to ensure your use of the Services stays compliant with Reddit’s evolving requirements.
3. Accounts, Access & Updates
By accessing and using PixelMassive Online, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement.
4. Community Conduct & Safety
We want Auto Battle Game to remain welcoming for moderators, players, and Redditors alike. You agree not to:
- violate Reddit’s rules, Reddit’s Moderator Code of Conduct, or any applicable law;
- harass others, share hateful or adult content without proper controls, or facilitate self-harm;
- attempt to manipulate Reddit karma, votes, moderation tools, or enforcement actions;
- upload malware, attempt to bypass security, or scrape data beyond what Reddit and these Terms allow; or
- misrepresent the nature of the Services, your affiliation with us, or the origin of content.
We reserve the right to remove content, limit features, notify Reddit, or suspend access if we believe your activity jeopardizes user safety or violates these Terms or Reddit’s requirements. Moderation tools should be used responsibly and with clear communication to your communities.
5. Moderation & Support Expectations
If you install the Services on a subreddit, you agree to configure them carefully, provide moderators with clear instructions, and monitor reports submitted through our in-app tools. You must respond promptly to safety concerns, honor Reddit users’ choices to remove or block the integration, and keep contact details up to date so we can reach you about urgent issues.
You may submit bug reports or feature requests through our designated support channels. While we cannot guarantee a specific response time, we value feedback and may use it without obligation or compensation to you.
6. Virtual Items, Payments & Promotions
Digital goods, cosmetic items, or premium features offered through the Services are licensed, not sold. Unless the law requires otherwise, they have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are not refundable after delivery. We do not enable gambling, cryptocurrency transactions, or other regulated financial services.
When purchases or payment processing are facilitated by Reddit or other platforms, you must follow their terms in addition to these Terms. We may limit availability, set eligibility requirements, or withdraw promotions at any time.
7. User Content & License Grant
All content in PixelMassive Online, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of PixelMassive Online and protected by copyright laws.
8. Intellectual Property
PixelMassive Online shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the game. The Services, including gameplay systems, artwork, branding, and software, are owned by Auto Battle Game or our licensors. Except where expressly allowed, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Services without our prior written consent. All rights not granted to you are reserved.
Reddit’s trademarks, logos, and other intellectual property belong to Reddit, Inc. and may only be used with Reddit’s prior written permission.
9. Third-Party Services & External Links
The Services may link to or interact with third-party websites, services, or tools (including Reddit, analytics providers, hosting platforms, or payment processors). We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
For questions about these Terms of Service, please contact us at legal@pixelmassive.com. We review the security posture of external services we rely on, but we encourage you to evaluate third parties independently before sharing information with them.
10. Privacy & Data Handling
Our data practices are described in detail in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Among other requirements, we honor Reddit deletion signals, minimize the data we collect, refrain from selling user data, and only work with vendors that provide adequate safeguards.
If we learn of a security incident affecting personal information, we will notify affected users and Reddit when required by law or policy.
11. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of dealing. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free gameplay, or that the Services will meet your expectations.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Auto Battle Game and its affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the specific Service during the six months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these limits may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Auto Battle Game, our affiliates, partners, and their officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your User Content, your use or misuse of the Services, or your violation of these Terms, Reddit policies, or applicable law.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for any reason, including suspected violations of these Terms, the Reddit Terms & Policies, or law. You may stop using the Services at any time. Provisions that reasonably should survive termination—including ownership rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnities, and governing law—will remain in effect.
If Reddit restricts or removes our Devvit app, affected functionality may become unavailable without liability to you.
15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, U.S.A., without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You and Auto Battle Game agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, unless the law of your residence requires a different forum.
Before filing a formal claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us in writing. If we do not resolve the dispute within thirty (30) days, either party may pursue permitted remedies in court. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent equitable relief.
16. Miscellaneous
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Auto Battle Game with respect to the Services and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any right does not waive it. You may not assign your rights or obligations without our written consent; we may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Section headings are for convenience only. Translations are provided solely for reference; the English version governs in the event of conflict.
